And so the raindrops fall
Upon her sheltered face
Upon that night she left her home
Wounded with her disgrace
Memories run through her head
Of what she'd said and done
Tears streamed down her weathered cheeks
Her own battles were not won
The streetlamps on they flickered
Illuminates the pain
There she fell, upon the lane
Under moonlit streaks of midnight rain

Summary: Brian gets an interesting phone call
Disclaimer: I don't own Queen, I don't own Adam. Didn't happen. Not true.
Brian sat on the couch, reading one of his many astronomy books. This one was particularly interesting, and the last thing he needed was to be disturbed. Of course, the phone began to ring.
Brian sighed, and pulled himself out of his seat. He really didn't want to pick up. It was probably Adam, who called at least five times a day, just to say hi.

Save Me/Comfortably Numb
He threw the vase at the wall, and it shattered into a million pieces. A million tiny, meaningless pieces. He couldn't stand this feeling. He needed to get out. Go somewhere. A bar maybe. Get drunk, whatever. Just make this terrible emptiness go away.
I'll erase the memories
Brian was almost to the door when someone else got there first. Anita walked in carrying the children on her hip. She shut the door, surveyed the mess, and exhaled heavily. She said nothing to Brian, but turned to the children and said, "We're going away on vacation for a little while. We'll see daddy soon." And she turned back out the way she came in, only sec
The sound of her voice breaks your heart
So sad
You want to help her
Comfort her
But what can you do
She's so
Broken
She has no heart
She's cold inside
She has nothing
A soul so full of
Sorrow
Festivities through the evergreen
Treats to tongue's delight
Tiny musicians everywhere
Dancing through the night
The new moon shine glows brightly
A fellow takes her hand
Parters fly high through the air
Not a worry in the land
Faerie girls in dresses
Made from precious rose
Stardust down from heaven
Twinkling on their nose
All faerie folk are dancing
A slow-paced waltz or two
Upbeat jigs then steal the scene
Prancing through the dew
And after all the dancing
Before the sun shines bright
All return to their hollows
To finish off the night
I walk along
Leaving footprints where I go
I don't look back
They say I should
But why?
There's no time to look back
I need to go further
I need to walk farther
Somewhere my footprints
Haven't been.
A world of my own
A beautiful world
A world where nothing is wrong
There is nothing real
But nothing fake
Sweeter than candy
Loved by all
There is no truth
No reality
No lies
We cannot live here
For it is not a place
It is a window
The bright shining window
Of music
Maybe
Maybe I can
Maybe I can be
Maybe I can be someone
Maybe I can be sucessful
Maybe I can make a difference
Maybe I can change a life
Maybe I can create something
Maybe I can't
Maybe I won't
Maybe I won't be able to do anything
Maybe I won't help anyone
Maybe I'll be a waste
Maybe I will
Maybe I won't
Maybe
Just
Maybe.
The Agonizing Wait
My blood freezes
My chest seizes
I can't move
I won't move
You can't make me go
My head spins
I can't think
My nerves run wild
My heart leaps
Nowhere to run
Nowhere to hide
There has to be a way out
But there is none
So I sit there and wait
The agonizing wait
